Rhys Williams new nickname after impressive individual display
Fate has conspired to make the 2020/21 campaign something of a breakout season for 19-year-old defender Rhys Williams.
The England Under-21 international spent last season on loan at National League North outfit Kidderminster Harriers, but could have a vital role to play for the Premier League champions following their mounting injury crisis.
Having put in an eye-catching performance for his boyhood Reds in last night’s win, only his fourth for the club, he took to Instagram after the match, captioning his picture with: "Delighted To Make Another Champions League Appearance. Great Performance From The Boys, 3 Points And A Clean Sheet To Go With It".
Diogo Jota replied "Big man," and Andy Robertson followed suit saying, "Love it big man" while Xherdan Shaqiri commented: "Well done big lad."
